What to Expect on Your Hunt:
Get ready for classic spot-and-stalk mule deer hunting across rugged coulees and rolling native grasslands. You’ll spend hours glassing from both foot and pickup, and covering ground that’ll test your grit.
- Archery Season brings belly crawls through cactus-covered terrain — gloves, kneepads, and a backpack that carries your bow hands-free are strongly recommended. Occasional encounters with docile, mildly venomous rattlesnakes can happen — consider gaiters for added protection.
- Rifle Season may involve hiking through snow up to 12" deep — gaiters help keep you dry and moving.
