Mike Goehr
With 34 years of hunting experience and over 25 years focused on bow hunting, Mike Goehr is a seasoned guide with a deep passion for the sport. Growing up in Laporte, Saskatchewan, his hunting journey began at just 8 years old — evolving from using a slingshot to mastering both long-range rifle and archery skills. This lifelong dedication has shaped Mike into a true expert in tracking and harvesting game.
After moving to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Mike balanced his business studies with a successful MMA career, even capturing the middleweight amateur championship. Ten years ago, he turned his passion into a profession, starting as a guide and eventually founding Broken Coulee Outfitters. Today, Mike leads Monster Muley Outfitters, delivering top-tier guided hunts across Alberta’s rugged landscapes.
From scouting to the final harvest, Mike is there every step of the way, providing expert guidance and support to hunters of all skill levels. Jason Villemaire
With over three decades of hunting experience, Jason has successfully harvested numerous mule deer scoring over 200 inches. His true passion lies in the pursuit of big mule deer, and that passion is evident in his deep knowledge, relentless scouting, and years spent studying mule deer behavior and patterns.
Jason’s natural ability to find and guide clients to mature trophy bucks has led to countless successful hunts. His methodical approach, efficiency, and commitment to excellence set him apart from other outfitters and guides in the field.
As your Guide/Outfitter, Jason promises honesty, efficiency, and professionalism — no matter the species or experience level. Every hunt is conducted with integrity and attention to detail. His goal is simple: to make each hunt fun, rewarding, and unforgettable.

Last year I killed a 206” full velvet Buck. Went back again this year and had 5 Adrenalin filled days, several close calls, and an awesome hunt despite the fact that I did not release an arrow this year. I have already booked for next year. Mike is a great guy, a true professional, works hard, has great zones, does what he says he is going to do, provides great accommodations, is a flat out predatory on monster Mulies, and is Alberta’ s Chef Boy Ardee! We ate like Kings. For my time and money…. Monster Mulies and Mike are the real deal.
This is a legit awesome trophy hunt! Hard working guides, not just during the hunt, but based on their knowledge of terrain and animals, they are scouting all the time. As promoted, it’s a Spot and Stalk public land hunt and when boots are on the ground you should expect to keep up….but for me that makes it even more special. They quickly access your abilities, pivot if needed, and are gracious to go above and beyond to make the hunt a success. The memories I made will be treasured the rest of my life, and the trophy on my wall is a testament to this review! Thank you Monster Muley Outfitters!
If you want a true hunting experience This is the outfitter to hire. I had Jason V for a guide, Jason will be well prepared for your hunt, he knows where the big Muleys live travel and hide. Jason will work hard to put you on a Big Muley and give you the hunting experience of a life time.

This has been my 3rd time hunting with Monster Muleys. If you have any doubts, don’t. Jason and Mike care about your success and they know how to get world class mule deer. The knowledge they have is incredible. The saddest part about the hunt is going home knowing you’ll have to wait another year to go chase big deer with guys that you end up becoming friends with.
