Alberta is home to one of North America’s largest coyote populations, making it an excellent destination for predator hunting. These smart, wary animals offer a challenging and exciting hunt, especially when calling them into range using distress calls, howls, and expert setups.
- The Hunt: Call setups (8-12 per day), Shooting distance 100-500 yards, Harvest Limit: Unlimited
- Terrain: River Hills, Coulees, Pastures. Winter Snow Cover from 40 to -10 Fahrenheit.
- Success Rate: High—coyotes respond well to expert calling and decoy setups
- Physical Requirements: Low to moderate—hunters stay stationary in blinds or elevated setups with some walking between setups
- Requirements: All white clothing/camo with toque, face covering and gloves, Scoped high powered rifle w/ 50 rounds ammunition, shooting sticks or minimum 24” bi-pod
- Additions: Skinning: $100.00 per coyote, Alberta Wildlife Certificate (Purchase from www.Albertarealm.com), Varmint rifle and ammo $100.00 /day
